(The WELL) The Women Entrepreneur Leadership Lab

The WELL (Women Entrepreneur Leadership Lab) is fee-based a membership network of Black-women entrepreneurs with businesses from pre-revenue to over $2 million who are collectively leveraging one another’s expertise, talents, and networks in order to grow their businesses. We believe that if black women business owners have safe space to build culturally-affirming business communities and collaborations, their confidence as entrepreneurs will soar. If they also have knowledge of and access to capital (social, information, financial) that has historically been denied, then they will grow and scale businesses with revenues at parity with other entrepreneurs. The membership includes monthly meetings, events, funding opportunities, and business tools and resources. The WELL creates a physical, psychological and financial safe space to iterate and grow. The WELL facilitates the growth Black women-owned businesses by -Deepening the community of peers with monthly meet-ups for learning, support, and accountability. These meet-ups often lead to collaboration and sharing of resources among members.Providing greater access to capital through expanded partnerships with grant-makers in cities with membership and chapter and offering pitch development, coaching, and expanded pitch competitions.Tending to wholeness with monthly wellness programming such as group and individual counseling, fitness courses, and meditation. The WELL currently has members who offer these services and we would contract with them to provide.
