Founder Chef Walter Brooks experienced food insecurity as a child, but his strong spirit and entrepreneurial drive led him to successful ventures in both the hospitality and automotive industries. A life-changing medical event turned him toward what would become his true passion in life: cooking.Walter has always been committed to delivering food that tasted good no matter the request or occasion. He created his line of gourmet clean-label sauces to make it easy for everyone to create delicious, soulful food in the comfort of their kitchens while helping cultivate the next generation of Black entrepreneurs.From the unexpected chocolate barbecue sauce that first brought him local fame to his barbecue restaurant and catering company that attracted a diverse fan base, Brooksmade Gourmet Foods products are versatile and delight every palate. From beginners to master cooks, everyone can use our delicious products to make amazing meals. Walter works closely with his local chapter of The 100 Black Men of America to mentor the next generation of young African Americans in his community. He also serves on the board of Fulton Atlanta Community Action Authority. Through Brooksmade, Walter has had the opportunity to travel the world connecting people to great food and inspiring them to get in the kitchen.Brooksmade products are currently sold at several retailers in the Atlanta area and featured on the menus of restaurants both in the United States and in international markets, specifically in the UAE. Brooksmade products were featured at the Gulfood Show 2021 in Dubai, and with Brands Rep in Cancun, Mexico, where we continue to build ongoing partnerships.Brooksmade Gourmet Foods is a proud member of the Southern United States Trade Association, and Georgia Grown, a division of the Georgia Department of Agriculture.
